The different versions of these Beam Expanders offer a variable expansion at wavelengths of 355nm, 532nm or 1064nm. Its large zoom range allows a continuously variable setting of an expansion factor between 2x and 10x. 

 

These beam expanders are designed for applications where large beam diameters are needed. The larger the size of an expanded beam, the smaller the structures that will be generated by a down-line F-Theta lens.

 

A focusing ring allows deliberate changes in the divergence of laser radiation, thus matching the tolerances on focal length relationships throughout the entire system. Similarly, the image plane position after the scanning unit can be changed.

 

Based on an optimized engineering concept, these beam expanders are very robust and compact, so their lens com- ponents will experience no rotational shift in the case of a change in setup, which yields improved pointing stability. Each beam expander is designed to achieve a diffraction limited imaging quality and has a specific AR coating for op- eration at 355 nm, 532 nm or 1064 nm. An expansion and focusing scale is directly engraved on the beam expander.

 

All beam expanders can be used perfectly with F-Theta lenses from Jenoptik as integral parts of a wide variety of beam delivery systems.
